Teach Me Series

The teach me series are suite of web based learning programs that have been developed by Katrine Elliott, Speech Pathologist, from Optimal Communications on the Gold Coast. They have been built over a collection of 20 years of clinical experience in supporting clients with communication impairments.

The program was inspired from seeing there was a significant need to equip families with specific information to support their management and understanding of their children’s or family members communication challenges whether that be listening,  speech or literacy.

The content provided in the information programs is never to be designed to be used in the absence of a health professional nor is it to replace professional advice. The information aims to support families to wade their way through a minefield of information to enable a better understanding of specific information pertaining to your child’s problems. It also aims to provide additional information for consideration that restricted time worth your health professional may have not achieved.  Sometimes the professionals time available to give you us is restricted due to waiting lists,  budgets,  priority lists or even distance.  This them may help you to know of other options,  services and information that you may have missed out on.

This information is never designed to override the advise of a health professional who is undertaking a therapy plan after a comprehensive assessment has been conducted worth you or your child.
